Epona Equestrian Services
Epona Equestrian Services
Epona Equestrian Services was founded by Linda Kohanov in 1997. The “unique, multidisciplinary approach” of Equine Facilitated Experiential Learning (EFEL) utilized at Epona Equestrian Services can include riding, energy work, and art therapy, among other offerings. Many of these workshops are facilitated by Epona Approved Instructors, those who’ve completed the apprenticeship program. Linda herself writes about working with a licensed mental health professional, Kathleen Barry Ingram, in both of her books, The Tao of Equus and Riding Between the Worlds. The Epona Approach™ 25 does not train people to engage in psychotherapy, although those Epona Approved instructors who are already licensed mental health professionals can choose to integrate their Epona training with their mental health work.
