This is a super-exciting time, envisioning and dreaming about the program you can create and the kind of difference you can make in the lives of horses and people.

But there's so much to know and to do, and many of us don't start out knowing how (or even wanting to know how!) to run our own organization. Where should you start? What needs to happen next? What's your next step?

Here's a rough outline of some key actions, concerns & decisions you'll be making. This will assist you in the planning of your business, each step of the way!

• First Steps: You've just learned this field formally existed and are anxious to get involved and on your way! You're a horse lover, an educator, a mental health professional, or a barn owner already, looking to expand and move into this kind of work.
  
• Growing & Developing: You've been to a training and have read some books, and are ready to take the plunge into this (or already have).  You've a few clients, but are looking to make this full-time. How do you lay that foundation for the future?
  
• Established & Refining: You're in the field for a few years now, and have had some success. You have regular clients and perhaps a contract or two, but haven't yet been able to make this full-time, or make it sustainable without long hours on your part! What needs to change to make this happen?
